Immuron, in collaboration with the U.S. Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), is advancing a new hyperimmune oral therapeutic targeting Campylobacter and Enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC). Recently, the NMRC completed an interim analysis of a randomized, placebo-controlled human trial showing modest but measurable protective efficacy—10.4% against moderate to severe campylobacteriosis—in 27 participants using a colostrum‑based formulation created by Immuron. Importantly, these results are distinct from Immuron’s Travelan® program and do not affect its Phase 3 strategic plans, which include an End of Phase 2 meeting with the FDA and anticipated Travelan® Phase 3 trials in the second half of 2025. The findings underscore the company's ongoing partnerships with NMRC and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) in developing next-generation hyperimmune products for enteric pathogens of critical importance to U.S. defense health.
