Immuron executed a new Research Services Agreement with Monash University to further investigate the anti‑viral properties of IMM‑124E, the active ingredient in its Travelan® and Protectyn® colostrum‑based products, which previously showed in vitro neutralizing activity against SARS‑CoV‑2. Under the collaboration led by Dr. Melanie Hutton and Professor Dena Lyras from Monash’s Biomedicine Discovery Institute, researchers will employ recombinant SARS‑CoV‑2 spike protein, receptor binding domain, and antibody‑positive human serum to develop assays that evaluate IMM‑124E’s inhibitory efficacy and isolate the specific immune components responsible for viral binding inhibition.
