In June 2020, Immuron executed a key research collaboration with Australia's national science agency, CSIRO, alongside its U.S. partner NMRC. Under this agreement, CSIRO is tasked with producing a hyper‑immune bovine colostrum therapeutic—using vaccines developed by NMRC—to counter Campylobacter and ETEC infections for evaluation by the U.S. Department of Defense. The agreement aligns with NMRC’s submission of a pre‑IND package to the FDA on June 10, 2020, with written feedback expected within 30 days, and enables two planned Phase II human trials in 2021: one targeting moderate to severe campylobacteriosis and the other ETEC infection prevention. Chemical production is projected for completion by late 2020 to support the clinical program starting in early 2021.
