In early June 2020, Immuron Ltd’s U.S.–listed shares surged almost tenfold on exceptionally high volume after it was announced that its research partner, the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), had requested a pre-Investigational New Drug (pre‑IND) meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to discuss the design of two Phase II clinical trials—targeting moderate to severe Campylobacteriosis and Enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) infections—with plans to file INDs later that year and begin trials in the first half of 2021.
